LPTV Weather Pro & EAS

Does your Low Power TV station need severe weather watches and warnings?

Are you running in SD?

If so, we have the software for you!

Our software takes the output of Danny Lloyd's Weather Message software (http://www.wxmesg.com/)and displays it on screen for your viewers to stay informed.

What is required:

LPTV Weather Pro & EAS:

1)    Pentium 4 2.4ghz computer with 1GB ram and Windows XP (XP if you want to use Remote Desktop) or Windows 2000 with .NET v1.1.

2)    Chyron Lantern 32, Lantern 64, or Lantern 64A (analog).

3)    A Down Stream Keyer if you want to do more than 1 channel.

Danny Lloyd's Weather Message:

1)     A computer capable of running his weather software, please refer to http://www.wxmesg.com/ for more information about this.

2)     At least one of the following: Internet connection, NOAA Port, Weather Wire, or any other means of obtaining weather watches/warnings that Weather Message can use.

Both Computers:

1)    A firewall between the Internet and the Local Area Connection.

What our software does:

We take the output of Weather Message software which produces a text watch/warning, a map of areas affected, and also a legend of the map colors.  When Weather Message updates these output files, we ingest them, check them for duplicates, trim the map, turn the legend's black background to an alpha channel, signal the keyer to start keying, and then update the output of the Chyron Lantern with the graphics and run the crawl with the watches and warnings.

We also have an additional tab that connects the serial port of the computer to a TFT 911 EAS decoder.  With the addition of a second Chyron Lantern card, the same computer and keyer(s) can also run your EAS crawls on screen.
